Esri® announces the ArcGIS 10.2.2 for (Desktop, Engine, Server) Oracle Geodatabase Object Schema Update and Editing Patch. This patch resolves a critical issue where users are unable to create new feature classes or modify their existing schema on Oracle geodatabases that have existed at 10.0 at some point: Oracle geodatabases that were upgraded from a previous release to ArcGIS 10.0, or Oracle geodatabases created with the ArcGIS 10.0 release. - NIM099594 - The following Oracle errors: ORA-29877, ORA-20085 and ORA-06512, are encountered when attempting to make object schema changes, spatial index changes, add Global IDs, register data as versioned (Register as Versioned tool), or create a raster dataset in ArcCatalog after upgrading certain ArcSDE 10.0 Oracle geodatabases.

Software requirements
- .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 must be installed prior to installing ArcGIS for Desktop.
- Internet Explorer requirement:
Microsoft Internet Explorer, minimum 7 or 8, must be installed prior to installing ArcGIS for Desktop. Internet Explorer 9, 10 and 11 are also supported.
Python requirement for Geoprocessing:
ArcGIS for Desktop geoprocessing tools require that Python 2.7.x and Numerical Python 1.6.x are installed. If the ArcGIS for Desktop setup does not find either Python 2.7.x or Numerical Python (NumPy) 1.6.x installed on the target computer, Python 2.7.3 and Numerical Python 1.6.1 will be installed during a complete installation of ArcGIS 10.2. Python 2.7.5 and Numerical Python 1.7.1 will be installed during a complete installation of ArcGIS 10.2.1. You can choose a Custom installation to unselect the Python feature and avoid installing it. Additionally, if the Python setup is executed during the ArcGIS for Desktop installation, you will be provided with the opportunity to choose its installation location. The Python installation location should not include spaces.
Printer support
ArcGIS supports printing to any Microsoft certified Windows printer using the native driver in ArcGIS. Note that some printer drivers do not support complex maps, and the ArcPress printer driver or additional hardware may be needed for these complex maps.

- If large complex maps do not print, reboot the computer to ensure the pagefile system is cleared. If the pagefile system is not a dedicated drive or partition, make sure the drive does not need to be defragmented.
- Disk Space: at least 10 GB of free space is required on the drive where %TEMP% is located, as potentially large temporary files will be written there while ArcPress is processing a map for printing.

Software required to connect to a DBMS
Your client machine (for example, the one running ArcMap) will need to have the appropriate client files installed for the RDBMS you are using. These client files are available from their respective RDBMS vendors, but they are also available on Esri Customer Care Portal as a convenience. See Database clients for more information. RDBMS client files available from the customer care portal are IBM DB2, IBM Informix, Microsoft SQL Server, and PostgreSQL. Client files for IBM Netezza, Oracle and Teradata are not available on the customer care portal and must be obtained from the IBM, Oracle and Teradata support sites.
